Hello, this is JP, the admin of the food delivery specialized blog "Delinavi!"
This time, I would like to introduce a campaign for "Demae-can" delivery drivers that applies to those who apply and register between Sunday, September 1, 2024, and Thursday, October 31, 2024. (Click here for English)
If the delivery reward per trip is around 900 yen, you could earn around 3,000 yen per hour!
- Debut Support Campaign Application deadline is Thursday, October 31, 2024
- The target area offers an additional 200 yen or 120 yen per delivery
- For bicycle delivery drivers, the free insurance " Freenance" is recommended
* January 2024 results (Officially published by Demae-can)
Under normal circumstances, Demae-can’s registration process is completed within 3 to 4 days, and anyone over 18 years old can start working immediately.
How good is this campaign?
In the target area, the basic delivery fee for newly registered drivers (400 yen) will be 1.5 times or 1.3 times during the campaign!
The average fee per delivery, including boosts, is about 750 yen (as of January 2024), so even without the campaign, it offers the highest rate in the food delivery industry.
Uber Eats typically pays around 400 yen per delivery, right?
No referral code is required. Please apply using the button below.
【About Sole Proprietorship】
Demae-can delivery drivers generally become sole proprietors who sign a service contract with Demae-can and other companies, and receive "compensation" for performing delivery services.
Demae-can is not an employer and does not pay a "salary."

❷ Demae-can Delivery Driver Referral Campaign
Since January 2022, no referral campaigns have been held for Demae-can delivery drivers, so there are no referral codes.
Instead, the policy is to provide incentives through "boosts" for new registrants.
- Z Holdings Group (a sister company of LINE, Yahoo, PayPay, etc.)
- Super High Pay! And expanding operations!
- Work hours are flexible! Dress code is free! No boss!
If you have a side job, delivering only during high boost times can make it a very lucrative side job.
For full-time workers, it is relatively easy to achieve annual sales of over 8 million yen.
With such an excellent environment, the sooner you join, the more you benefit.
Be sure to register as soon as possible.
Make sure to check out Uber Eats and Wolt campaigns too!
2. Demae-can Rewards and Comparison with Other Companies
❶ Demae-can Reward Calculation Method
As shown above, the calculation formula for delivery rewards was revised on August 1, 2023.
Basic Reward (uniform nationwide 400 yen) × Boost Multiplier
In the new reward system, the distance reward based on delivery distance has been abolished, but instead, the boost multiplier has increased.
The boost multiplier is adjusted to prevent a significant drop in delivery rewards.
The boost amount varies with delivery distance, so rewards still increase with longer delivery distances.
※ Rewards vary by delivery distance, area, season, and date and time.
※ Boost is a bonus received during peak times and holidays, calculated by multiplying the basic reward.
※ Campaigns can further increase rewards.
❷ Basic Reward and Boost Multiplier of Demae-can
■ Basic Reward
・Uniform nationwide: 400 yen per delivery
From August 2023, it became uniform nationwide.
■ Boost Multiplier
・Generally 1.1 to 3.0
❸ Typical Reward Example
■ One Delivery (Model Case)
(Basic Reward 400 yen) × (Boost Multiplier: 1.5) = 600 yen per delivery
■ One Hour (4 deliveries)
600 yen × 4 deliveries = 2,400 yen per hour
■ One Day (5 hours of delivery)
2,400 yen × 5 hours = 12,000 yen per day
A realistic reward example that is manageable.
It's also possible to work only during spare time!
Let's eliminate waste and operate efficiently!
❹ Reward Comparison of Major Four Companies
Assuming deliveries for one month (5 hours a day, 20 days) for Demae-can (regular, campaign), Wolt, menu, and Uber Eats, the reward examples are as follows.
The Demae-can debut campaign has outstanding revenue.
Even without the campaign, Demae-can seems to earn the most.
Many delivery partners register with all to target campaign bonuses.
※ Rewards vary by area, weather, supply and demand, and bonus achievement status.
※ Delivering an average of 4 times per hour requires some delivery experience.
※ The number of orders varies by company (Uber Eats has frequent orders, etc.).
For example, there may be times when Wolt doesn't receive orders, so it's good to register with Demae-can and Uber Eats simultaneously.
3. Benefits of Registering with Multiple Food Delivery Services
There are many food delivery services besides Demae-can, such as Uber Eats, Wolt, and menu. Registering with multiple services offers significant benefits.
Here are three major benefits:
❶ You can receive new registration campaign benefits from each company.
As you know, there is intense competition for market share among food delivery companies.
Securing delivery partners is a crucial issue, and each company is using referral campaigns and special incentives to secure delivery partners.
This "referral campaign bubble" could end at any time, so it's recommended to take advantage of the benefits early.
If you are in an area covered by Wolt, you can quickly earn bonuses through the referral campaign. For details, see here.
❷ You can choose advantageous incentives.
The incentives for delivery partners vary by company, so registering with multiple platforms allows you to choose the most advantageous incentive at that time.
There are no penalties for multi-registration!
TV commercials and SNS advertising also impact sales. By registering in advance, you can choose the platform with the most advantageous campaign at that time.
While Uber Eats pays about 400 yen per delivery, Demae-can pays an average of 750 yen or more (January 2024 results).
If you weren't registered with Demae-can, you'd miss out on this opportunity!
❸ You increase the chances of earning referral rewards.
It's commonly thought that delivery partner income consists only of "delivery rewards," but this is incorrect.
Delivery partners have two main income opportunities: "① Delivery Rewards" and "② Referral Rewards."
Registering with multiple services significantly increases your chances of earning "② Referral Rewards."
For example, if an Uber Eats delivery partner invites family and friends, they can earn up to 30,000 yen in referral rewards from Uber (varies by area and time. For details, see here).
If you also invite them to Wolt and they meet the specified conditions, you can earn up to 20,000 yen per person in referral rewards from Wolt. Thus, just by registering with Uber Eats and Wolt, you can earn up to 50,000 yen per person in additional rewards (for details, see here).
Whether you view this as a significant benefit or ignore it can greatly impact your annual income.
4. Demae-can Delivery Areas
[Prefectures] As of May 2024, services are available in all 47 prefectures nationwide.
Hokkaido, Aomori, Iwate, Akita, Yamagata, Miyagi, Fukushima, Ibaraki, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama, Gunma, Tochigi, Yamanashi, Nagano, Toyama, Ishikawa, Fukui, Niigata, Shizuoka, Gifu, Aichi, Osaka, Kyoto, Hyogo, Shiga, Mie, Nara, Wakayama, Hiroshima, Okayama, Shimane, Tottori, Yamaguchi, Kagawa, Kochi, Tokushima, Ehime, Fukuoka, Kumamoto, Saga, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Oita, Miyazaki, Okinawa
With one account, you can now deliver nationwide with Demae-can.

5. Demae-can Operating Hours
❶ Operating Hours of Demae-can Delivery Partners
(Longest) 7:00 AM – 1:00 AM
In some areas, the operating hours are shorter than the above times.
Stores using Demae-can delivery partners have "Delivered by Demae-can" written near the store name in the order app.
❷ Operating Hours of Store Delivery Partners
(Longest) 9:00 AM – 2:00 AM
Franchise stores can choose their delivery operating hours within the above times.
Franchise stores with their own delivery partners can deliver until 1:00 AM.
❸ How to Check Operating Hours of Franchise Stores
It's very easy to check business days and hours. Just two steps:
- Tap 'Store' in the order app
- Tap 'Store Details'
6. Features of Demae-can
❶ Differences Between Part-Time Jobs and Contract Work
Demae-can's contracted delivery partners differ from part-time workers as they operate as self-employed individuals under a performance-based contract.
Differences between contract work and part-time jobs
Part-Time Job | Contract Work | ||
---|---|---|---|
Compensation | Hourly Wage | ➡ | Fully Commission-Based (approximately 1,000 yen - 5,000 yen) |
Working Hours | Shift-Based | ➡ | Flexible |
Dress Code | Uniform | ➡ | Flexible |
Equipment | Provided by Base | ➡ | Bring Your Own Vehicle, Smartphone, Bag, etc. |
Using the smartphone app provided by Demae-can, the main job is to receive orders and deliver products from the store to the customer's location, similar to Uber Eats, Wolt, and menu.
Previously, there was a rule that required contracted workers to wear a specified red hat, but this rule was abolished in December 2022, making the dress code for contracted workers flexible within reasonable limits.
Demae-can also has unique features that set it apart from other companies, as detailed below.
❷ Quick Registration
Usually, the process for Demae-can takes about 3-4 days to complete, allowing you to start working immediately.
❸ Semi-First-Come, First-Served Job Acceptance
The Demae-can order acceptance app has been updated.
Previously, orders were sent to all delivery partners in the area simultaneously, resulting in an unfair advantage for those using cheating apps to grab orders first.
In the new app, notifications are sent to 1-3 delivery partners selected by AI, reducing the first-come, first-served competition.
This means that by focusing on basic tasks, you can increase your earnings.
① Be ready to move quickly
② Memorize routes
③ Eliminate inefficiencies
④ Use technology effectively, etc.
It seems that Demae-can is committed to not completely eliminating the first-come, first-served aspect, yohohoho!
❹ 45-Second Rule and Penalties
If you do not accept the order within 45 seconds of the notification sound, it will be considered a "rejection."
If you reject or miss three consecutive orders, you will be logged off (end of shift).
So far, the only penalty is being logged off, and you can quickly go back online.
There's no need to accept unreasonable orders.
❺ Maximum of Two Simultaneous Orders
Previously, the old app allowed up to three simultaneous orders, which contributed to late deliveries.
The new app has revised this to limit simultaneous orders to two.
For example, you can pick up items from "Store A" → pick up items from "Store B" → drop off items from "Store B" → drop off items from "Store A".
AI determines whether you can handle two orders based on your delivery route, and if conditions are met, it will assign them to you.
Taking two orders at once is efficient, so I'll accept them all, bring them on!
❻ No Long-Distance Deliveries
Jobs are allocated, and the delivery range is generally within 4 km radius (average 1.7 km) from the "base" (though this is somewhat questionable in practice).
If you get lost or encounter difficulties, the "base" staff will provide advice.
7. Demae-can Delivery Partner Registration Process
You can start delivering in as little as 3 days with these three steps:
- Apply
- Register necessary information ➡ Review
- Watch training videos/Take tests ➡ Account issued
You can start delivering immediately after the account is issued.
8. Registration URL
During the campaign period, registration may take some time, so please hurry.
You can register using the campaign link below.
9. Delivery Know-How
DeliNavi! offers a free publication titled 'How to Earn Over 5 Million Yen a Year in the Delivery Business'.
Over 9,000 words of essential know-how for becoming a professional contracted delivery partner.
Without exaggeration, if a beginner starts as a full-time delivery partner without knowing anything, reading this could make a difference of tens to hundreds of thousands of yen annually, making it more valuable than cash back.
It also includes tips on how to easily earn tens of thousands of yen while waiting for orders!
10. Bags Usable with Demae-can
If you cover other company logos, you can use bags from other companies (Uber Eats, menu, DiDi, etc.).
Official Site (UberEats × Kinara) offers Uber bags for 4,000 yen (as of May 2024). For Amazon prices of Uber bags, click here.
They are very durable and easy to use, yohohoho!
11. Demae-can Contracted Delivery Partner Dress Code
For contracted delivery partners, the dress code is generally flexible, but there are a few common-sense rules.
Restaurants are very particular about "body hair" and "foreign objects" falling into the food, so wearing long sleeves, long pants, and a cap is well-received! Remove accessories while working.
Be mindful of tobacco, sweat, and perfume smells. Having a change of clothes is a good idea!
1. Hair
Natural black or brown.
Bangs should not cover the eyes.
If hair is longer than shoulder length, tie it back.
2. Hat, Helmet
Remove the helmet when handing over products.
3. Shoes
Do not step on the heels.
Sandals and slippers are prohibited.
4. Wear, Accessories
Wear clean clothes.
Wear neat plain long pants.
Bracelets and earrings are prohibited.
5. Beard, Nails
Shave your beard daily.
Trim nails short.

12. Voluntary Insurance
① Free Voluntary Insurance
Being a Demae-can delivery partner is easy to start and well-paid, making it very popular, but it is a job with a high risk of traffic accidents.
First and foremost, it is important to avoid accidents, but minor accidents can happen to anyone.
Demae-can has its own condolence money system and recommends that bicycle delivery partners subscribe to voluntary insurance.
A popular option among delivery partners is the "Freenance" free plan offered by the GMO Group.
By enrolling in the free plan and registering an account, you can get free voluntary insurance (up to 50 million yen coverage) and access services like invoice instant cashing when needed.
If you have an accident without insurance, you might face huge compensation claims!
At the very least, bicycle riders should enroll in Freenance's Anshin Hoshou Basic, which covers non-delivery work as well.
② Cars and Motorcycles
Do you need voluntary insurance for motorcycles?
The mandatory insurance, "Compulsory Vehicle Liability Insurance," only covers up to 30 million yen in "liability for bodily injury." If you cause significant damage to someone in an accident, 30 million yen will not be enough. For property damage, compensation for commercial vehicles, luxury cars, buildings, etc., can be very high, so we strongly recommend enrolling in voluntary insurance.
Delivery partners using motorcycles or cars must enroll in voluntary insurance (or mutual insurance), so you need to choose from the many insurance plans available.
Bicycles and cars are not covered by Freenance's Anshin Hoshou Basic.
Using an insurance comparison service makes it easier to find the most suitable insurance.
For example, Insweb's Car Insurance (Motorcycle Insurance) is an insurance comparison service used by over 10 million people from SBI Insurance.
In just a few minutes, you can get quotes from multiple companies and easily compare their premiums, coverage, and services, so it's highly recommended.
Additionally, "Hataraku Kuruma no Jidousha Hoken" (Miraishoken Corporation), which specializes in commercial vehicles, is also recommended for quick online quotes.
Compare a few options and choose the best one for you.
(1) Car
❶ Get a Free Car Insurance Quote (★★★)
Types of cars that can get a quote
- Private Passenger Car
- Private Small Passenger Car ⇒ 3, 5, 7-number plates (white plate with green characters)
- Private Small Freight Car ⇒ 4-number plate
- Private Light Four-Wheeled Passenger Car
- Private Light Four-Wheeled Freight Car ⇒ light 4, 5, 8-number plates (yellow plate with black characters)
❷ Hataraku Kuruma no Jidousha Hoken (Commercial Use)
(2) Motorcycle
❶ Motorcycle Insurance (AXA)
❷ Motorcycle Insurance (Zurich)
❸ Motorcycle Insurance (Sompo Japan)
③ Bicycles
Bicycle delivery partners are generally recommended to enroll in voluntary insurance. Since there are few companies offering bicycle voluntary insurance, it is efficient to search on price.com.
Freenance is free, so it's a good idea to start with this for bicycles.
Insurance coverage will start from the 15th of the following month, so it is recommended to apply early.
By the way, I (JP) am enrolled in both Freenance and Rakuten's Bicycle Insurance.
